KEY PLAYERS RETURNING

Key players returning are senior captains Bridgette Thompson (midfield) and All-Cincinnati selection Savannah Morgan (striker). Lauren Lewis (2011) holds WHS record for goals 59 and total points 144 (26 assists). Morgan currently stands at 57 career goals and 25 assists totaling 139 points. Junior captain Katlyn Jamiel (All-Cincinnati and All-Southwest District) will be our field general at center-mid. Sophomore Jenna Victor will anchor our defense. Returning players with expanded roles will be seniors Cami Barton and Lyla Self. We’re counting on Cami to create offensive opportunities for our attacking strikers, and we’re already getting strong keeper play from Lyla.

KEY NEWCOMERS

Freshmen Sophie Burt (defender), Autumn Housh (midfielder) and Jasmine Jamiel (striker).

KEY PLAYERS LOST

Former All-SCOL honorees Bryah Arehart, Drezden Beam, Megan Borton and Alyssa Lewis. Bryah and Drezden share WHS career assist record (33). Megan holds WHS shutout mark (11). We’ve also lost for the season to ACL recovery, returning starter and junior defender Suzannah Johns.

RIGHT NOW I LIKE …

Our youth. Our freshmen and sophomores will make significant contributions.

RIGHT NOW WE NEED TO IMPROVE …

Our youth. We need our freshmen and sophomores to play like juniors.

TEAM TO BEAT IN SCOL

Chillicothe

ANYTHING ELSE YOU’D LIKE TO SAY ABOUT TEAM, SEASON

We have quality depth in our midfield with Ashlyn Carey, Jordan Snarr, Michelle Huffman, Housh, Barton, Thompson and Katlyn Jamiel. This may be the best depth we’ve ever had. We have 16 girls and our bench can play. All will see significant minutes. We’re very young and inexperienced, but we intend to win and make a strong push for an SCOL title.
