CM tennis opens with loss to WCH

WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — The Clinton-Massie girls tennis team opened its season Wednesday with a 5-0 loss to Washington in South Central Ohio League action at Gardner Park.

Haley Clayborn dropped a three-set, 2 1/2-hour match at first singles to Megan Downing 1-6, 7-5, 2-6, coach Lynn Deatherage said.

Clinton-Massie is 0-1, 0-1 while Washington improves to 2-0.
