CM volleyball bounces back with win over FHS

ADAMS TOWNSHIP — Bouncing back from a season-opening loss Saturday, the Clinton-Massie volleyball team defeated Fayetteville 25-17, 25-22, 25-11 Monday in a non-league match at the CM gym.

The Lady Falcons (1-1 on the year) got off to a good start, crucial on the heels of an 8-25, 11-25, 13-25 loss Saturday at Little Miami.

“We’re young again, so it was a big hurdle for them to get over, to realize they can play with people,” said CM coach Stephanie Reveal.

Brooke Rose led Massie with 16 points. She contributed 3 aces and 5 kills.

Tyler Greathouse had 8 points, 3 aces and 9 kills. Faith Cottrell had 5 kills. Jocelyn Burton contributed 6 points and 2 kills. Savannah Myers had 6 points and 3 kills.

Haley Conley chipped in with 6 points, 2 aces and a team-best 17 assists. Rylee Richardson served 5 points with 2 aces and 10 assists. Ashlie Miller had 3 digs while Patience Chowning had 2 digs.

On Saturday, Greathouse had 3 kills and Myers chipped in with 2 kills.
