Lady Falcons notch 4-1 tennis win over Lady Indians

ADAMS TOWNSHIP — The Clinton-Massie tennis team picked up a 4-1 win Tuesday over Hillsboro in South Central Ohio League tennis action.

Competition was close on all five courts with the Lady Falcons improving to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the SCOL.

Hailey Clayborn and Anne Thompson were winners in their singles matches — Clayborn 6-0, 7-5 and Thompson 6-1, 6-3.

“You can see the confidence growing for Clayborn and Thompson in their singles play,” coach Lynn Deatherage said. “Both dominated in their first set and then made mid-match adjustments when Hillsboro players pulled even in the second sets. The doubles teams put in another solid performance to win easily.”

• Raelee Shultz (9), Nina Lazic (9) were defeated by Samantha Stodgel (11), Jessica Moon (11) 6-8
