Blanchester JV football tramples Trojans 28-8

The Blanchester junior varsity football team defeated Glen Este 28-8 Saturday to improve to 2-3 on the year.

On offense, the Wildcats picked up touchdowns by Cody Henson on a 35-yard run and Tanner Creager on a pair of 45-yard receptions. Creager also made it five straight games with a two-point conversion. Jasper Damewood kicked two of three point after touchdown kicks.

On defense, Shawn Snyder, Justin Ballard, Christian Stubbs, Chace Sicurella and Lucas Thacker all had sacks or tackles for loss for Blanchester, coach Brian Damewood said.

Jesse Wright and Andrew Frump forced fumbles while Dale Sturgill was an intimidating force in the secondary with several big hits and a 35-yard interception return for a touchdown, said Damewood.
