The Clinton-Massie boys freshman basketball team battled back but fell short in the end, 34-28, Saturday night against Bellbrook at the CM gym.

The Falcons were outscored by 14 in the opening quarter and despite gaining ground in each subsequent quarter they came up six points short.

Austin Faucett and Grant Avery led the Falcons with 7 points each. Tate Olberding had 5.

Eric Wick led the Golden Eagles with 12 points.
