New Richmond blanks Blanchester in season opener 5-0

BLANCHESTER — The Blanchester High School tennis team was defeated by New Richmond 5-0 Monday in a the season-opening match on the BHS courts.

“It was great to be able to open up with one of the premier teams in the Cincinnati area and the SBAAC,” BHS coach Scott Shepard said. “It’s good to have our team see what it needs to do to get better.”

Blanchester is 0-1 on the year.
