WC men’s lacrosse drops 17-5 decision

WESTERVILLE — The Wilmington College men’s lacrosse team was outscored 7-0 in the second quarter, and fell to Otterbein Wednesday, 17-5, at Memorial Stadium.

Junior Reid Delaney (Wooster, OH/Wooster) played a part in three of Wilmington’s five goals, scoring twice and assisting on another.

Sophomore Jhordan Lang (Sunbury, OH/Big Walnut) tallied a goal with one assist, while sophomore Matt Dugan (Hilliard, OH/Davidson) and junior Chris Hein (McKinney, TX/McKinney) scored goals.

Wilmington was just 9-of-25 on faceoffs, including 1-of-8 in the second quarter.

The Fightin’ Quakers limited Otterbein to 9-of-15 on clear attempts and they were 13-of-19 on their attempts.

Wilmington (4-5 overall, 0-2 OAC) takes on Mount Union 1 p.m. Saturday. They will honor the contributions nine seniors in a pregame ceremony.
