Four Clinton county athletes are members of the 2016 Ohio Crush semi-pro football team based out of New Carlisle.

Those players are Lester Robinson and Dalton Rothwell from East Clinton; and Branson Newbry and Tyler Waller from Wilmington. Robinson and Rothwell were members of the 2015 national champion Southern Ohio Buckeyes.

The Crush improved to 5-0 last Saturday at Raynor Park in New Carlisle as they defeated the Columbus War Eagles 50-0 in the first home game of the 2016 season.

Jon Mason of the Crush scored six touchdowns in the win. Rothwell had a fumble return for a touchdown for the Crush.
