WILMINGTON — The Clinton County History Center is pleased to introduce its newest interns to the community — Liza Vance, Arianna Riccardi and Jenna Fawcett.

Liza Vance is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University (‘17, ‘19). She received her Master’s in Public History and has a background in anthropology and archaeology. Currently, she is a historian in the Local History department at the Boone County Public Library in Burlington, Ky.

She specializes in exhibits and manages the department’s Facebook account. Vance is excited to sharpen her archival skills as well as to see all the beautiful Eli Harvey artwork during her internship at the Clinton County History Center.

“Eli Harvey was such an incredible artist and is an integral part of Wilmington’s rich history,” said Vance. “I’m excited to be digitizing this collection so that more people can experience his talent.”

Vance is working on the Eli Harvey Digitization Project as a result of the History Center receiving grant funding from the Ohio History Connection. A vast majority of Harvey’s works will be digitized and available to the public online through the Ohio Memory Project once completed.

Ariana Riccardi is a senior at Wilmington College double majoring in Political Science and History with a minor in Race, Gender, and Ethnicity. She serves as the Student Body Vice President, Peace Corps Prep Program President, and President of the Resident Student Association.

Riccardi plans on attending law school after graduation to pursue a career as a criminal defense attorney and eventually work on political campaigns. After working in the political realm, she would like to run for office on a local level and then work her way up to more national-level political positions.

She is currently interning at the History Center as a contributing writer for their website. She will be focusing on topics relating to feminism in Clinton County throughout her research.

Jenna Fawcett is a senior at Wilmington College double majoring in History and Political Science with a minor in Race, Gender, and Ethnicity Studies. Her hometown is Tiffin, Ohio.

Fawcett is also a student worker at the Peace Resource Center and enjoys going to Spring Lobby Weekend with the Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL). She is looking forward to getting to know the community better and learning new public history skills as a result of her internship.

She will be researching historic cemeteries in the county as well as developing content for our website and upcoming videos for our YouTube page.
