The East Clinton FFA worked with the Clinton County Alumni to collect change for the “Change for Change” event to raise coin money for the coin shortage on Sept. 22.
The event started at 5:30 p.m. at the Clinton County Fairgrounds. We met with current Clinton County FFA alumni member Heather Prochnow as well as others to begin the event. She took pictures of our FFA members to be put in the Wilmington News Journal. We made signs to hold up and held buckets for those to drive by and toss change into.
Afterwards, we held our monthly meeting and cookout following with a game of two-hand touch football.
On Sept. 24 multiple events took place. East Clinton FFA chapter members gathered to aid in one of our community service events, Adopt-a-Highway, where we collected trash to be thrown away along SR 729.
Following this event, we held our annual Greenhand Night for the new freshman FFA members. At this event, East Clinton FFA officers as well as experienced FFA members discussed, in small groups, the details about SAEs and CDEs that might interest them.
