LYNCHBURG — The Clinton-Massie junior varsity volleyball team defeated Lynchburg-Clay 25-22, 25-23 in a tight battle Monday night.
Coach Emilie Fisher said her squad started slow but aggressive serving and accurate passing helped turn things around.
Hannah Bowman played well defensively, Fisher said, while Laila Davis served well. Taylee Olberding came off the bench and had some nice serves and several nice passes.
“We have a few players that are injured so it has been nice to see several girls step up and play positions they would not usually play,” Fisher said, adding her team is now 7-10 on the year.
