Off and running … Early in-person voting underway

A line of voters formed ahead of the 8 a.m. start time Tuesday for the first day of early in-person voting at the Clinton County Board of Elections offices on South Nelson Avenue in Wilmington.

Tom Breckel was the first person to fill out a ballot at the first day of early in-person voting Tuesday, Oct. 6 at the Clinton County Board of Elections offices, exactly four weeks before Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Bob McClain of Wilmington, center foreground, arrived about 7 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6 for the first day of early in-person voting at the Clinton County Board of Elections offices at the County Annex Building, 111 South Nelson Avenue on Wilmington’s west end. Voting began at 8 a.m. and a line of others had joined him prior to then. Second in line is Bob Thobaben, seated in a chair in the right foreground. Early in-person voting will continue on weekdays until Election Day, and on weekends starting Saturday, Oct. 24. You can also vote on Election Day at the polls, or beforehand by absentee ballot.
