The Clinton County History Center is hosting an author meet & greet event on Saturday, July 22 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

A variety of local authors and consignors through the History Center will be on-site with books available for purchase and happy to talk to readers or fans alike, according to a news release.

Authors include CM Neff and “The Wager” historical romance series, Rita Butcher’s “Growing Up in a Place Called ‘Port,” ZaZa Wolfe’s “South Street” historical fiction, Roger Starnes and Mike Mason’s ever-popular “Grasshopper Railroad” story, Wilmington College’s 150th anniversary commemorative coffee-table book, and a variety of Clinton County Genealogical Society materials, including the Springfield Friends Meeting Bicentennial History and the Quaker History Conference Resource Books on various subjects compiled by Karen Campbell.

Guests are encouraged to grab a cup of coffee across the street at Kava Haus and then to stop over to chat with local authors and historians alike. The author event is free and open to the public; the genealogy research library and museum will be open until 2 p.m.
