BLANCHESTER — The following report is generated from incident reports provided by the Blanchester Police Department. All those charged/arrested are presumed innocent until possibly found guilty in court. Charges may be dropped or changed in court.

**This list does not contain all calls and matters handled by officers, nor does it include ongoing investigations and follow-ups on cases from previous weeks, traffic crashes, or traffic stops**

Aug. 16-31

Some of the calls handled include:

-An officer responded for a backhoe being on fire at the gas pumps at a business in the 100 block of South Broadway Street. Upon arrival, the fire was out. Blanchester-Marion Township Fire also responded.

-A suspicious person was reported in the 100 block of Bourbon Street; the caller reported a woman was living in a car parked on the street. An officer responded and provided the woman with information on resources.

-An officer responded to the request from Clinton County Sheriff’s Office for mutual aid for an injury accident in the area of Dudley and Shawnee Trace roads.

-A caller requested to be checked out, after reporting their heart rate was abnormally high after drinking coffee, believing the coffee was tampered with. Employees disposed of the coffee as a precaution, but Blanchester EMS responded and found no indication that the caller consumed some contaminate.

-An officer was requested by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office for mutual aid to Cuba Avenue in Midland for the report of a fight involving several individuals.

-A caller reported a confrontation with a passerby over them blowing grass clippings onto the roadway in the 800 block of South Broadway Street.

-A caller reported a suspicious person, a man (gray hair, 60s) driving a dark colored Silverado in the 800 block of East Center Street. The caller stated it was dark out and the man was asking about rentals in the area, and asked her to come closer because he couldn’t hear. The caller kept her distance and contacted us. The vehicle was not located.

-A welfare check was requested on a student that had not been to school yet this year. An officer spoke with the parents, who said they would contact the school.

-A resident in the 500 block of West Main Street reported that an egg was thrown at their house.

-A possible theft was reported in the 600 block of Cherry Street. The suspect was found to not be in possession of any property from the store.

-Officers were dispatched to a dispute in the 100 block of Bourbon Street over someone being evicted. Officers were called back out due to another dispute, in which the suspect, a 41-year-old male, was challenging a 65-year-old male to a fight. The 41-year-old male was charged with disorderly conduct.

-A catalytic converter was reported as stolen from a vehicle in the 7000 block of Rosewood Drive.

-Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of South Wright Street for the report of individuals throwing beer bottles from a moving vehicle.

– An officer was dispatched to the 7600 block of Rosewood Drive for a domestic dispute. A 30-year-old male is listed as a suspect, and warrants were requested for his arrest for domestic violence and child endangering.

-An officer was dispatched to a business in the 600 block of Cherry Street for the report of a suicidal person. A 23-year-old female stated she wanted to harm herself, and was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation.

-A theft of medication was reported. This matter is still under investigation.

-A 47-year-old male was arrested on a warrant in the 100 block of South Broadway Street. While being placed under arrest, the male resisted the officer’s efforts, and was therefore charged with resisting arrest and possession of drug abuse instruments, after hypodermic needles were located on him. Additional charges are possible, pending lab results.
