Clinton-Massie varsity red team handed first loss by Xenia

WILMINGTON — Xenia handed the Clinton-Massie varsity red golf team a 183 to 188 loss Thursday at the Elks 797 Golf Course.

The Falcons (6-1) were led by Quinton Smith who had a 45.

“I was very proud of the kids and how they played considering we were playing a much improved varsity squad,” Massie coach Clayton Morgan said. “We continue to have four golfers in the 40s which is a huge improvement on how we started the season”

Ethan Robinette and Liam Denehy both had 47s for the Falcons. Micah Ruther carded a 49 and Conner Jacobs came in with 58.

Massie will host Bethel-Tate Monday at the Elks in the final varsity red team match ofthe season.
