This Saturday at 10:30 a.m., the team at Wilmington Auto Center Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM invites the community to participate in a 5K pet walk to benefit the PAWS Humane Society, Inc. — a local shelter in Clinton County.

The walk is not just for pet owners and it’s not required to walk a pet. But if you have a socialized dog, bring along your canine friend for a nice walk, according to a news release.

Registration is $20 and being held in person at Wilmington Auto Center, 1780 Rombach Ave. Two food trucks will be present to purchase lunch and there will be free water for people and pets. Representatives from PAWS Humane Society will be present for a meet and greet with some of their available dogs.

The 5K starts and will end at Wilmington Auto Center. The dealership is currently collecting items from the public for PAWS, such as Purina Dog Chow and Cat Chow, Fancy Feast canned kitten and cat food and clumping cat litter, as well as monetary donations. Donations may be dropped off during business hours.
