Lions score big in 2 innings, defeat Hurricane 15-5

WILMINGTON — New Richmond scored seven runs in the second and eight in the fifth en route to a 15-5 win over Wilmington Monday in SBAAC American Division baseball on the WHS diamond.

The Hurricane falls to 4-10, 2-6. The Lions are 11-7, 4-4.

Talen Oberlin and Jake Stephens had two hits each for Wilmington. Stephens also drove in a run.

Chase Fickert tripled and drove in two runs. Alex Massie scored twice with a double. Bryson Platt had a hit and drove in a run. Brady Tolliver also had a hit and scored a run.

Oberlin took the pitching loss for WHS.
