Special Ohio Stadium tours slated for Sept. 13-15

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Although Ohio State has an off Saturday on Sept. 14, that doesn’t mean Ohio Stadium will be quiet.

That’s because the Department of Athletics will host the “Things You’ve Never Seen Tour” September 13-15. Guests will go even further behind the scenes of Ohio Stadium – visiting places not available on a regular public tour. For one weekend only, redcoats will take guests into the nooks and crannies of historic Ohio Stadium.

Guests will visit the athletics director suite, TV broadcaster booth, climb up to the Ohio Stadium bell tower, visit the old “classrooms”, step inside the north towers, peek inside the home locker room and more.

This specialty tour will end with an all-inclusive tailgate in the Ohio State recruit room with food and beverages, games on the TV and a cash bar. After 5:30 p.m., tour guests must be over the age of 21 with each tour ticket including beverages from the bar.

It is suggested that guests be over the age of 12 years old and physically capable of traversing long distances in the stadium. The tour is not designed for young children – strollers are not allowed. Guests will walk over a mile and climb dozens of steps, including steps to the top of C-Deck to visit the North Towers and to visit the Bell Tower.

There will be a pre-sale for Ohio State football season ticket holders beginning Tuesday through Friday. Remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public on Sunday. Visit http://OhioStadiumTours.com to purchase tickets to the “Things You’ve Never Seen Tours”.

Ohio Stadium provides daily guided tours to the public year-round which visit the press box, Huntington Club, the University Suite, and the field. Guests can purchase timed tickets to the 60-minute basic level Buckeye Tour, or upgrade to the 90-minute VIP Tour to get special access to the Steinbrenner Band Center and the home locker room.

Ohio Stadium offers a variety of tour options and special pricing for groups of 10 or more. From school groups, day camps, sports teams, corporate outings to bachelor party outings and large birthday parties, we can design a tour to meet your needs. Learn more at OhioStadiumTours.com.
