WILMINGTON — With another heating season coming up, Wilmington residents and small businesses once again have options available to them to save money via the city’s natural gas aggregation program, according to a news release.

The natural gas supplier will continue to be IGS Energy. Renewal letters will be mailed later this month.

Participants joining the city’s natural gas aggregation program will be charged a fixed rate of $.526/Ccf. This rate will be in effect October 2024 (November 2024 billing) through September 2025 (October 2025 billing).

CenterPoint Energy will be responsible for ensuring the distribution of natural gas to residential premises and continues to maintain the meter, monthly reads and pipelines that deliver natural gas to residents’ homes. Residents’ natural gas bills will also continue to come from CenterPoint Energy. Residents can join or leave the program at any time without an early termination fee.

Residents who are not enrolled and are interested in receiving their natural gas through the aggregation program can call IGS Energy toll-free at 877-353-0162.
