ADAMS TOWNSHIP — Clinton-Massie erupted for five second-half goals Thursday in a 6-1 win over Wilmington in SBAAC American Division tennis at Frank Irelan Field.
The Falcons are 1-2 overall, 1-1 in league play. The Hurricane is 1-2 overall, 0-2 in the American.
Bella Ashley for Clinton-Massie and Lilly Jarrells for Wilmington scored first half goals as the match was tied 1-1 at the half. Emma Adams assisted on Jarrells goal. For Ashley, it was her first-ever varsity goal.
In the second half, Clinton-Massie took control as Makenna Bennington scored two goals while Ella Groh, Rosie Hall and Taylor Vert had one goal each. Jacelyn Lawson and Taylor Collett had assists for Clinton-Massie.
