WHS tennis learns from 5-0 loss to Centerville

CENTERVILLE — The Centerville tennis team defeated Wilmington 5-0 Thursday in a non-league match at CHS.

“One of our wise seniors, Reagan Henry said it best … ‘sometimes we play to win, sometimes we play to get better’,” Wilmington coach Doug Cooper said. “Reagan understands that while we are striving to win every conference match, our non-conference matches challenge us to get better by forcing us to play outside our comfort zone. We feel like these are opportunities for growth.”

Cary Holliday and Bailey Wheeler had a tight second set before falling in their match at first doubles.
