BLANCHESTER — The Blanchester volleyball team defeated Clermont Northeastern 22-25, 25-18, 25-20 25-20 in a hard-fought SBAAC National Division battle.
The Wildcats are 3-1 overall, 2-1 in the division. The Rockets are 2-2 overall and 1-1 in league play.
“I was a bit worried after we lost the first set, but the girls came back and won the next three,” Blanchester head coach Shelbie Rose said. “Both teams played a great game. CNE is always a tough opponent.”
The last time Blanchester defeated Clermont Northeastern was Aug. 31, 2021.
”Everyone played great,” Rose added. “It felt like our hitting, serving, and defense all contributed to the win and Bailie Bare ended the fourth set with a game winning ace.”
BHS leaders were Emma Hartmann with 15 kills, Jade Jackson with 25 assists, Madison Winemiller with 7 aces, Jocelyn Lansing with 21 digs and 35 passes. Bare, Hartmann and Niki White all had four blocks.
