Upthegrove new director of Wilmington Parks and Recreation

Kenny Upthegrove, of Washington Court House, became the director of Wilmington Parks and Recreation, effective July 8. Previously, he was the senior program director at the Fayette County YMCA.

A graduate of Washington Senior High School, Upthegrove earned his bachelor’s of science degree in sports administration from the University of Cincinnati in 2021.

He joined the Fayette County YMCA in 2021 as the program director before being promoted to senior program director. He was named the Ohio YMCA’s Rookie of the Year in 2022.
