Wilmington holds off Hillsboro at Elks 797 GC

WILMINGTON — With freshman Gunnar Martin earning match medalist honors, Wilmington edged Hillsboro by two strokes Thursday at the Elks 797 Golf Club.

Martin had a 37 for the Hurricane, who were 167 to 169 winners.

Colin Wood had a 40 for Wilmington while Hunter Holbert came in with a 44. Brody Reynolds and Gavynn Walls both had 46s.
