Astros stay atop National Division with 3-0 win over Rockets

OWENSVILLE — With its best performance of the season, East Clinton blanked Clermont Northeastern 25-14, 25-17, 25-16 Thursday in SBAAC National Division volleyball.

The win keeps East Clinton on top in the National Division by a half game over Williamsburg. Both teams are unbeaten, EC in four league games and Burg in three league contests.

“It was the best game we’ve played this season,” EC coach Sarah Sodini said. “The girls came together as a team and put together what we’d been working on in practice.”

EC leaders were Karsyn Jamison with 14 kills and two blocks, Emily Arnold with 24 assists and six aces. Arnold and Sahara Tate had 12 digs each.
