WILMINGTON — Struggling from the outset, Wilmington dropped its SBAAC American Division match with Goshen Thursday at Fred Summers Court 16-25, 18-25, 17-25.
This was the third match in three days for WHS, all of which have been losses.
“We were flat,” coach Stephanie Reveal said. “We just couldn’t get into a rhythm and looked tired. We would make a run and then make a couple mistakes and it just took the wind out of our sails.”
Reveal said Taryn Allen was injured in the third set of the match when a Goshen player when under the net and came down on Allen’s foot.
WHS leaders were Lauren Diels with 6 kills, Aidynne Tippett with 15 assists, Layla Reynolds with 15 digs and 28 passes.
Wilmington is 3-4 on the year, 1-3 in league play. Goshen is 2-2 in the American Division.
