LEBANON — The Wilmington cross country program competed at the Warrior Classic cross country event Saturday at Lebanon High School.
Max McCoy was the first Hurricane boy to cross the finish line, running a 19:52.3. Alexa Benitez ran 25:09.6 to lead the girls.
In the junior high races, Josey King ran 15:06.6 and finished 20th in the girls race. Tad Shidaker clocked 13:38.8 and was 54th in the boys race.
“We had a solid day out in the humid weather, with many course (personal bets), seasons bests and overall PRs,” coach Karen Heslop said. “For our high school, we had one PR, four seasons bests and three course PRs.
“For our middle school teams, four PRs, one seasons bests and two course PRs.”
