BHS girls win second straight match 4-1

RIPLEY — Blanchester won its second straight match Thursday, a 4-1 defeat of Ripley in non-league girls soccer action.

“I’m proud of the girls for winning 50/50 balls in the middle of the field, keeping the ball on their half most of the game,” BHS coach Kyle Hamilton said. “Our offense really started to click and they were creating chances for each other and scoring.”

Blanchester (3-3 on the year) scored first when sophomore Evelyn Kohler scored off a Hailee Harris cross less than three minutes into the match.

Morgyn Coyle made is 2-0 with Harris getting another assist. Ripley then scored to make it 2-1 at halftime.

Coyle scored her second goal with Kohler assisting then Jaida Jones finished the scoring with a shot to the bottom left corner of the goal.
