Blanchester girls win third straight match 3-0

GEORGETOWN — Goalkeeper Karlee Tipton and her backline trio led Blanchester to a 3-0 shutout win against Georgetown Tuesday in SBAAC National Division girls soccer action at GHS.

Tipton alnog with Ali Trovillo, Alayna Davenport and Miranda Keith helped the Wildcats notch their second shutout win of the season.

Blanchester goes to 4-3 overall and 2-3 in league play while Georgetown drops to 2-5-1 in all matches and 1-4 in the National Division.

“I am really liking how we are playing right now as a team,” Blanchester coach Kyle Hamilton said. “Everyone is doing their job and we are staying very organized and doing the little things better each day.

“Our passing has really improved, which has led to more opportunities and goals in the last week.”

BHS, winners of three in a row, have scored 11 goals in the last three matches after going three matches without a goal.

Senior Morgyn Coyle scored the only goal of the first half while Laylla Sears and Kendall Koch scored in the second half. Assists were credited to Hailee Harris, Kennedy Renick and Jaida Jones.
