Steed, Falcons pulling away from the American Division field

HAMERSVILLE — With the 18-hole league championship still on the schedule, Andy Steed and Clinton-Massie are are pulling away from the field.

With a dominant 154 team total led by Steed’s 33, the Falcons won the SBAAC American Division 9-hole finale Monday at Friendly Meadows Golf Course.

With Gunnar Martin shooting a 40 and three others at 45, Wilmington finished third in the divisional match.

The Falcons were 17 shots clear of the runnerup on Monday and now lead by 67 strokes in the team standings.

Steed fired his second 33 of the SBAAC season and is nine shots ahead of teammate Owen Goodwin 174 to 183 in the individual standings.

Martin is third at 198.

Clinton-Massie has won the last three team titles with Steed garnering top individual marks as well.
