WILMINGTON — In a quick match at Fred Summers Court, Wilmington ended its seven-match losing streak Wednesday with a 25-4, 25-14, 25-13 win over Blanchester.

The Hurricane improves to 4-8. The Wildcats drops to 5-4.

“We have had a rough couple weeks but our schedule, especially non-league, is tough,” Wilmington head coach Stephanie Reveal said. “I tell the girls I put our schedule tougher in hopes that by end of the season when we hit the tourney we are more prepared for some of the powerhouse teams we could see.”

Taryn Allen served 18 points for the Hurricane while Miya Nance had seven kills at the net. Layla Reynolds came up with nine digs. Aidynne Tippett had 21 set assists.
