GOSHEN — Wilmington received key contributions from underclassmen Wednesday in a 5-0 win over Goshen in SBAAC American Division tennis.
The Hurricane second doubles team of Nyomi Blackburn and Haylee Ilg were 6-4, 6-2 winners.
“Jenna (Pletcher) still out with an illness but the underclassmen stepped up and played a very good match,” WHS coach Doug Cooper said. “That’s been a big part of why this team is so fun to coach, they are always responsive and ready to compete.”
Wilmington is 7-6 on the year, 6-3 in the American Division. Goshen is winless in league competition.
