XENIA — The Clinton-Massie girls golf team had no trouble Wednesday with Xenia in a non-league match at WGC Golf Course.

“Courses across the area vary so much right now dueo to the lack of rain and access to water,” CM coach James Brady said. “WGC greens were the most true that we have played in a few rounds and it some adjusting.”

Stormie Stroud adjusted pretty well, Brady said, recording the fewest putts of any player in the nine-hole round.

Stroud was the medalist with a 42.

Grace Boone had a 43 and Sammi VanPelt came in with a 46. Rylee Long carded a 52 and Charlotte Robinson had 56.

“Grace and Stormie played solid golf on a challenging nine,” Brady said. “Sammi almost drove multiple greens. She is hitting her driver well right now.”
