Hillsboro man dies as result of one-vehicle crash

The Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one-vehicle crash in Highland County that claimed the life of a Hillsboro man, according to a news release.

The accident occurred on Saturday around 12:30 a.m. on Sorg Road, just west of Davidson Road in Whiteoak Township. The preliminary investigating showed that a 1967 Dodge pickup truck, driven by James W. Hart Jr., 66, was heading westbound on Sorg Road, according to the release.

Hart’s vehicle reportedly drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a grain bin, where Hart was ejected from the vehicle. The vehicle continued and struck a barn before coming to rest, authorities said.
