Hurricane net squad wins battle with Patriots at TCP

KETTERING — For the past seven matches, Wilmington has alternated wins and losses.

A 3-2 win over Dayton Carroll Tuesday at Thomas Cloud Park continued that trend. After winning two in a row on Aug. 26 and Aug. 28, WHS has lost then won the next six contests.

The win puts Wilmington at 8-7.

Sofia Castillo and Reagan Henry had easy singles wins while Layna Holmes went to a third set before falling 10-8.

Bailey Wheeler and Cary Holliday posted an easy win at first doubles while the duo of Kiley Comberger and Abbie Hubbard were defeated 6-7 (5-7), 4-6.
