Eagles hand Falcons just second head-to-head loss of season

MORROW — Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy edged Clinton-Massie 189 to 192 Thursday in a girls golf match at Belwood Country Club.

It was just the second dual match loss for the Falcons this season.

“This was a match that was scheduled as a preview for our sectionals,” CM coach James Brady said. “CHCA qualified for districts last season as a team and I knew this would be a tough match for us. We didn’t play our best golf as a team but it opened our eyes to the possibility of making a run next week in sectionals.”

Aside from the match, Clinton-Massie celebrated Senior Night, honoring Grace Boone and Lauren Edwards.

”Senior night is always an emotional night but our seniors played at their season averages. Grace and Lauren have meant so much to our team,” said Brady. “Each has unique qualities that make them great teammates and young people. We have some goals over the next few weeks we hope to obtain.”

Boone had a 41 while Edwards came in with 57.

Also for the Falcons, Stormie Stroud 46, Charlotte Robinson 51 and Rylee Long 54.
