Tobin wins another OAC cross country weekly honor

For the second time in three weeks and the fifth time in his career, Noah Tobin is the Ohio Athletic Conference Runner of the Week.

This comes after a weekend in which Tobin competed at the All-Ohio Intercollegiate Classic at Cedarville University. Tobin stood out among the pack and finished in third place at 24:38.8 and was first among Division III competitors. At one point in the race, Tobin was neck and neck with the leaders, but fell back a bit over the final minutes of the competition.

This was by far Tobin’s best race in this event, as his best had been a 16th place finish in 2023, where he ran 25:23.0. The graduate student was beaten by his former teammate Simon Heys, who raced unattached and won at 24:23.7, before Tyler Jenkins of the University of Rio Grande was second with a time of 24:33.9.

Tobin has been phenomenal so far this season for the Quakers, winning his first two races, before his third-place finish on Friday. He will look to continue his strong season on October 4th in Terre Haute, Indiana for the Division III Pre-Nationals race, hosted by Rose-Hulman at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course.
