BrightView Wilmington Addiction Treatment Center celebrates recovery with an open house tomorrow

BrightView Health Addiction Treatment Center is observing National Recovery Month by inviting the community to learn more about outpatient addiction treatment in Wilmington. The open house will take place on Thursday, Sept. 26 from 12– 2 pm. The center is located at 485 W. Main St.

“BrightView’s team and our community partners are here to help bring the highest quality medical care available because preventing an overdose death is a top priority and we must continue to educate and raise awareness regarding substance use disorder (SUD) commonly known as addiction,” said BrightView Community Outreach Manager Rontae Bass.

National Recovery Month, an annual observance in September, offers BrightView Wilmington Addiction Treatment Center an opportunity for a friendly community gathering to celebrate recovery success stories, enjoy free food, raffles, and tours of the center.

The BrightView team will present the Champions of Recovery Awards to community organizations and partner agencies that have gone the distance in helping others succeed in the pursuit of sobriety and their recovery journey. The recipients of today’s awards will be available for interviews during the open house.

There will be opportunities to talk with Rontae Bass, community outreach manager about a wide range of issues, including:

What is “effective” addiction treatment?

What patients think is crucial to successful recovery.

There will be an in-depth tour of the center and the steps taken when a person walks through the door.

BrightView services are easy to access and available to hundreds of area residents. The center accepts walk-ins until 3 p.m. weekdays and offers same day appointments. People or families seeking help can call BrightView at 833-510-HELP (4357) 24-hours a day, seven days a week, or schedule an appointment online at brightviewhealth.com. For patients in withdrawal, it takes less than four hours from the time they walk through the door to receive stabilizing medication, complete their first counseling session, and begin lasting recovery.
