WILMINGTON — Five Wilmington seniors won the final home match of their WHS tennis career Wednesday in a 3-2 victory over Kings.

WHS coaches said lineups by both teams were altered in preparation for sectional play.

Senior Sofia Castillo at first singles, and doubles teams of senior Bailey Wheeler and senior Cary Holliday at first doubles, and senior Layna Holmes and senior Reagan Henry at second doubles all won matches.

“It was very cool to see the five seniors who have given so much to this program all win together on their final home match,” the WHS coaches said. “They leave a legacy of what it means to represent their team, school and community with Hurricane Pride.”
