LEES CREEK — Bethel-Tate spoiled East Clinton’s Homecoming Saturday morning with a 42-12 win.
The Astros slip to 0-6 overall and 0-1 in the SBAAC National Division.
The victory puts the Tigers at 2-4 overall, 1-0 in the conference.
After Bethel-Tate went up 7-0, Brody McCulley of East Clinton had the first of three interception returns for a touchdown on the day. His came at the end of the first quarter and pulled East Clinton with 7-6.
But the Tigers had two of the pick-6 plays in the second quarter pulled out to a 28-6 halftime advantage.
Aiden Conger passed to Ethan Shepherd for a fourth quarter score for the Astros to make it 35-12.
