The following are upcoming events in Clinton County:

68th-annual Wilmington Band Chili Supper

This will happen Friday, Oct. 4 at 4 p.m., at 300 Richardson Pl, in Wilmington. The 68th Annual Chili Supper will be held in celebration of Wilmington High School homecoming. The event will feature a $7 meal with a bowl of chili, hot dog, coleslaw, applesauce, a dessert, and a drink. All proceeds go to support the Wilmington Band, grades 6-12. Fall Fest Food Truck Rally at Schappacher Farms

It is happening on Friday, Oct. 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Schappacher Farms in Wilmington. Come and enjoy food from a variety of food trucks, a corn maze, hayrides, animal petting, and more.

17th-annual Brake for Breakfast

The 17th-annual Brake for Breakfast is happening on Friday, Oct. 4 from 6 to 9 a.m. at the Foster J Boyd MD Regional Cancer Center, located at 31 Farquhar Ave. in Wilmington. This long-running breast cancer awareness event has in the past served over 1,000 attendees, all in support of breast cancer awareness.

Riding with Ralph’s – Bike Night & Motorcycle Show

Hosted by Ralph’s American Grill on 123 Gano Road. This Grand Finale Bike Night Event happens on Oct. 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. (with pre-registration from 4 to 5 p.m.) and will feature live music and vendors, with competition on Best in Show, Best Paint, and Best Sound. Entry fee is $15.

American Rebels Patio Party at the Lake House Grill

Listen to live music on Oct. 4 from 8 to 10 p.m. at The Lakehouse Grill, located at 112 S. Clarksville Road in Clarksville. With live music provided by American Rebels, a rock band based out of Williamsburg.

Mother’s Retreat

Art at the Market at the Clinton County Farmers Market

The first Farmer’s Market in October, happening Oct. 5 from 8:30 a.m. to noon, on the Clinton Courthouse Square in Wilmington. This farmer’s market features the Art at the Market program.

Wilmington High School Class of 1974 Reunion

The Wilmington High School Class of 1974 will be having its 50th reunion on Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. and then a gathering on Oct. 5 at the Murphy Theatre for food and fellowship. Those wishing to attend should RSVP to Denis McBrayer at [email protected].

5th-annual James Miller Memorial Car Show

All are welcome to this car show happening Sunday, Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Caesar Creek Flea Market located at 7763 W State Route 73. Featuring door prizes, goodie bags to the first 50 attendees, food trucks, and more.

Chili Cook-Off and Bengals Watch Party at Lake House Grill

Come for chili, stay for the Bengals. Bring your best chili recipe and compete in this event happening Oct. 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Lake House Grill at 112 S. Clarksville Rd. in Clarksville. All patrons will vote on their favorite chili recipe, with the winner being featured on the menu.

Cleanup Day at the Picnic Grounds

Come help pick up sticks, fix the toilet, or paint the bathroom shed at Collette-McKay Picnic, located at 5353 Gurneyville Road in Wilmington. This community cleanup event is happening on Oct. 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. Come out and help clean up your community.

Solvita Wilmington CMH Regional Oct. 9 Blood Drive

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this community blood drive honors cancer patients and survivors. Taking place Oct. 9 from noon to 6:30 p.m. at 610 West Main St. in Wilmington. Please register to donate with Solvita (formerly Community Blood Center) on the Donor Time app, by calling (937) 461-3220, or at www.donortime.com. Those who register to donate from Oct. 1 to Nov. 2 receive a free “Fight Cancer” t-shirt, and those who register for a Solvita blood drive between Sep. 30 through Oct. 26 will be entered into a drawing to win two tickets to the Ohio State v. Michigan game on Nov. 30 in Columbus.

Stacked Pumpkin Party at TinCap

Hosted by Sip and Dipity, this event takes place Oct. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at TinCap, located at 59 W. Sugartree St. in Wilmington. Come enjoy live music, BBQ, and all the cider you could want.

Life Line Screening

Come out and get a health screening on Oct. 11 at 9 a.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church in Wilmington, located at 421 E. Vine St. in Wilmington. The screening will provide preventative care with five screenings that check for A-FIB, Peripheral Arterial Disease, abdominal aortic aneurysm, carotid artery, and a free hypertension screening.

Clinton County Farmers Market

The second Farmer’s Market of October, happening Oct. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to noon, on the Clinton Courthouse Square in Wilmington.

Talking Tombstones

Taking place Saturday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sugar Grove Cemetery located at 297 West Truesdall St. in Wilmington. Forever Simon & Garfunkel – A Tribute

Celebrating the classic folk duo of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, this tribute concert takes place Oct. 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the Murphy Theatre in downtown Wilmington. With music from both the duo’s classic lineup of albums, as well as songs from Paul Simon’s solo career including The Sounds Of Silence, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Mrs. Robinson, I Am A Rock, The Boxer, Homeward Bound, Cecilia, Hazy Shade Of Winter, Feeling Groovy, Me & Julio, Kodachrome, Slip Sliding Away, and many more.

Grand Re-Opening of Cartoons Auto Salvage

Cartoons’ Auto Salvage is having a reopening event in a new location on Oct. 13 from 2 to 5 p.m. at 7979 State Route 28 in Martinsville. Come and celebrate the reopening of a local business and enjoy games, food, drinks, inflatables, and more.

Grand Opening Celebration for The Grim Cleaner

Happening Saturday, Oct. 12, from 3 to 6 p.m., come and celebrate the grand opening of The Grim Cleaner a newly expanded cleaning service business, located at the South Street Suites, Suite 7, 36 1/2 N. 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat featuring Denim Deluxe

Happening on Oct. 13 at 4 p.m. at Schappacher Farms, located at 3068 W. State Route 73 in Wilmington. With live music from Denim Deluxe, BBQ from Smoke’N Johnsons, pumpkin picking, corn maze, hayrides, and face painting for the kids.

Social Services Forum

Happening Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 8:30 a.m., at 717 N. Nelson Ave., this event provides essential outreach and resources from organizations like Jobs & Family Services, Head Start, Red Cross, Talbert House, and more.

Food Truck Rally in Support of Sonshine Christian School

Taking place Thursday, Oct. 17 from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at Sunset Landing located at 3792 W State Route 73, this food truck rally will feature a bevy of food trucks to enjoy, in support of Sonshine Christian School.

“On Freedom”: An Evening with Timothy Snyder

Come spend a night with historian and author Timothy Snyder, writer of “On Tyranny” and his new book “On Freedom” on Friday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. at the historic Murphy Theatre, in downtown Wilmington. Snyder’s new book tackles freedom and why it’s often misunderstood. This event is also a fundraiser for Wilmington’s sister city, Merefa, Ukraine.

Trick-or-Treat Downtown

Join participating Wilmington merchants on Oct. 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a merchant Trick-or-Treat event, co-sponsored by The Murphy Theatre. Enjoy crafts, games, snacks, food trucks, face painting, an inflatable bounce house, inflatable basketball, pumpkin decorating, Halloween bags for the first 350 kids, and a costume parade at The Murphy Theatre at 2 p.m.
