EC highest seed among county volleyball, soccer teams

The East Clinton volleyball team earned the highest seed among county volleyball and soccer teams as post-season draws took place this weekend.

In girls soccer, No. 16 Wilmington (2-12) will play at No. 1 seed Ross 7 p.m. Oct. 17 in a Division III South 1 Sectional contest.

In Div. IV South 2 Sectional, Clinton-Massie (4-10-1) will play at No. 1 Summit Country Day 7 p.m. Oct. 17.

In Div. V South 1 Sectional action, No. 4 Blanchester (8-6) will play at No. 3 Fayetteville-Perry 7 p.m. Oct. 17.

In boys soccer, No. 8 Wilmington (10-4-1) will play at No. 3 Badin 7 p.m. Oct. 15 in a Division III South 3 Sectional match.

No. 8 Clinton-Massie will play 7 p.m. Oct. 19 in a Division IV South 1 Sectional match. The Falcons will host Roger Bacon or play at Bishop Fenwick, depending on the outcome of their match on Oct. 15.

The Astros are the No. 2 seed in the Division VI South 1 Sectional and will play early round matches at Norwood High School.

East Clinton (15-5) will play 2 p.m. Oct. 19 at NHS against either No. 4 seed Riverview East or No. 5 seed Cincinnati College Prep.

In the Division V South 2 Sectional, No. 9 Blanchester (8-10) will play No. 8 Deer Park at Lebanon High School 2:30 p.m. Oct. 19.

In the Division IV South 2 Sectional, No. 12 Clinton-Massie (2-18) will face No. 14 Shroder 7:30 p.m. Oct. 16 at Lakota West High School.

In the Division III South 1 Sectional, No. 10 Wilmington (8-11) will meet No. 4 Turpin 1 p.m. Oct. 19 at Lakota East High School.
