Hurricane explodes for 10 goals in win over Lions

WILMINGTON — Exploding for a season-high 10 goals, Wilmington defeated New Richmond 10-1 Tuesday in the SBAAC American Division finale at Alumni Field.

The win puts Wilmington at 7-3 in the American Division and tied for second with Batavia in the final standings. Goshen wins the conference at 7-2-1.

The Hurricane (11-4-1) had a strong offensive night with Ben Angelica scoring three goals and contributing three assists. Bryce Vilvens had two goals and four assists.

Aven Patel scored two goals and had an assist. Reci St. Germain and Jason Tecu scored one goal each.

In goal for the Hurricane, Scotty Hall made seven saves while Spencer Wood had four saves.
