WILMINGTON — Runners from Wilmington, Clinton-Massie and East Clinton ran in the SBAAC Cross Country Championships junior high races Saturday at Wilmington College.

In the cool of the morning, the two-mile course was dry and firm.

Josey King of Wilmington’s Rodger O. Borror Middle School ran 14:22.63 and placed fifth.

For East Clinton, Ally George was the first runner across the line in 16:11.87.

Aleeah Cameron of Clinton-Massie was the first Falcons in 19:15.64.

In the boys race, Tad Shidaker of Wilmington’s Rodger O. Borror Middle School squad was the first county runner to finish in 12;58.38.

Jaxson Manning was first for the Astros with a personal best time of 13:18.67.

For Clinton-Massie, Rylin Clark was first in with a time of 14:14.53.
