Downtown Wilmington is set to host a merchant Trick-or-Treat event this Saturday, Oct. 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Families are invited to start their trick-or-treat adventure at the Clinton County Visitors Bureau on Sugartree Street, where they can pick up a treat bag. From there, participants can explore the downtown area and visit 31 local merchants who will be handing out candy.
In addition to trick-or-treating, there will be several other activities for all ages to enjoy. Head over to Sugartree Street to find food trucks, face painting stations, and pumpkin decorating activities at Xidas Park. The Literacy Foundation will also be hosting a special storytime.
For a touch of entertainment, stop by The Murphy Theatre, where you can find oddities, puppet shows, a photo booth, and a reading corner. Kids can even strut their costumes on stage and interact with critters from Cowan Lake.
This event is a fantastic opportunity for families to enjoy a fun-filled Halloween experience in the heart of Wilmington. The event is supported by various local sponsors, ensuring a memorable day for all who attend.
