The Clinton-Massie Corner

Welcome to “The Clinton-Massie Corner”, a bi-monthly column penned by Clinton-Massie Superintendent, David Moss. It aims to provide a deeper understanding of our district’s journey, celebrate our successes, and keep our community informed and engaged. Whether you’re a parent, student, staff member, or community supporter, “The Clinton-Massie Corner” is your window into the heart of our district’s story. We will focus each article on communication, connection, and celebration. Let’s get started!

Communication

We would like to make you aware of the upcoming Board of Education meeting scheduled for this coming Monday, Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m. in room 533 in the Middle School. These are opportunities for you to stay informed about key decisions and developments in our school district. We will publish an agenda on our website at http://www.cmfalcons.org at least 24 hours in advance of each meeting. We encourage you to attend and be a part of the conversation that helps guide our educational community.

Connection

Last year, we started a social media series called “Throwback Thursday – Alumni Spotlight.” It is a way for us to highlight those that have come before us and represented Clinton-Massie with pride. If you’re a proud graduate of Clinton-Massie and want to share your story, be seen by your Falcon Family, and inspire current students, we’d love to feature you in a future Alumni Spotlight! You can go online and fill out this form: https://bit.ly/CMAlum or if social media is not your thing, call our office at (937) 289-2471. We will fill it out for you! Your story is our pride, and we can’t wait to share it!

Celebration

The Clinton-Massie “Living Our Values Everyday” Award, or CMLOVE, is a monthly recognition earned by employees who exemplify our core values of building relationships, prioritizing a whole child-focus, promoting student growth, striving for excellence, and embodying the spirit of lifelong learning. This award, nominated by staff to recognize other staff, highlights the dedication and commitment of our team members in creating a positive and supportive environment for both students and colleagues. We celebrate these individuals who go above and beyond in their roles, ensuring that our values are not just words, but a daily practice that enriches our community. We celebrate these winners with a certificate, a picture with the CM Falcon and a gift card. The award winners for September were Jill Binau, Stephen Franks, Liz Doyle and Sara Hanna.

Please do not hesitate to share your suggestions, stories, or questions for future columns. My email is [email protected], and my office number is 937-289-2471. Let’s work together to make Clinton-Massie a place where every connection matters, every achievement is recognized, and every update helps build our community.
