WILMINGTON, Ohio — The Clinton County Board of Elections announced a change in the Liberty Township polling location from the Port William Senior Center to the Port William-Liberty Township Joint Fire and EMS station. This change will be effective on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5.
On the evening of Oct. 30, a vehicle struck the Port William Senior Center causing damage to both the exterior and interior of the building. The building cannot be used as a polling place until an official assessment can be made.
The Board of Elections worked with the Port William Senior Center, Liberty Township officials, the Clinton County Sheriff, the City of Wilmington, and the Clinton County EMA to establish an alternative polling location.
On Tuesday, Liberty Township voters can cast their ballots at the Port William-Liberty Township Joint Fire and EMS station, located at 7211 North SR 134. The polling location will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
