BLANCHESTER — Bethel-Tate finished its SBAAC National Division scheduled Wednesday with a 7-1 win over Blanchester at Barbour Memorial Field.
It was Senior Night for Blanchester and five athletes were honored — Macey Waldron, Chloe Paulson, Gracyn Phillips, Aubrey Panetta and Kaylee Coyle.
“Coyle was a dominant defensive player for the Wildcats, along with Phillips having multiple saves on the back line,” Blan coach Kristina White said. “Panetta continued to play hard as a forward and strived to put the ball in the back of the net.
“Waldron stepped up as a team leader in the midfield once again and created many runs and some scoring chances. Paulson left it all out on the field as the midfielder who played hard both offensively and defensively.
“The soccer program will miss each one.”
The Wildcats are 1-14, 0-10.
Bethel-Tate is the champion of the National Division with a 9-1 mark. This is the first league championship in girls soccer for BTHS since 2017. The Tigers are 13-2 in all games.
Five players scored for Bethel-Tate in the win with Avery Ausman and Zoey Sandker both having two goals and one assist.
Karlee Tipton had 16 saves in goal for Blanchester. Hailee Harris scored the only BHS goal.
