Bowling Final: WHS boys, girls win over WB

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington High School girls bowling team remained unbeaten in league play Wednesday with a 2353 to 2178 win over Western Brown at Royal Z Lanes.

Wilmington also won the boys match, using a trio of solid baker games to hold off the Broncos 2475 to 2345.

The Hurricane girls are on top in the American Division with a 3-0 mark. Western Brown is 0-1.

Kylie Fisher had a 441 two-game series for the WHS girls. Kiley Comberger had a 200 game for Wilmington.

For the boys, Wilmington is 1-2 in league play while the Broncos are 0-1.

Austin Oglesby had a 428 series, with a 243 game, while Preston Sholler had a 240 game.

Wilmington led by just 28 pins after two team games then had a 102-pin advantage in the bakers to pull away for the win.
